BREACH ALERT:  MCNA Dental Acknowledges Data Breach for Almost 9 Million Patients

On March 6th, 2023, management at Managed Care of North America became aware of an unauthorized system intrusion. 

During this intrusion, criminals were able to copy patient information from their system. 

Information extracted included:

• Patient first and last name

• Billing address

• Patient date of birth

• Phone number

• Email address

• Patient Social Security number

• Patient Driver’s license nur/other government-issued ID number

• Health insurance plan information, including insurance company, member number, and Medicaid-Medicare ID numbers

• Type of care received

• Any bills and insurance claims related to the service
